IHA 2009 World Congress Programme

The IHA 2009 World Congress will encourage a dynamic and thorough examination of the key issues affecting the growth and development of hydropower in an age of unprecedented global water, energy, economic and climate uncertainties. Progress on the development of a number of important initiatives, including the Hydropower Sustainability Assessment Forum and the UNESCO/IHA Greenhouse Gas Project will be presented. High-level panels have been assembled to address each of the topics of the Congress. This will involve panellists chosen for the diversity of their expertise, perspectives and views. The sessions will be facilitated to address key questions, so that Congress participants can hear and respond to a breadth of ideas – helping to set our future strategy.
