Congress Networking Tour: Tuesday 14 June

The networking tour provided delegates with a chance to meet and network with other participants.

The tour stopped at the Itaipu dam observation point, crest, spillway and powerhouse, giving delegates an in-depth understanding of the world’s most productive powerplant, which set the world record for a year’s production – 94,684,781 MWh – in 2008.

A lunch break was held at the Bela Vista Ecological Refuge, where participants discovered more about the local conservation programme and viewed the indigenous flora and fauna. The tour also included a sightseeing visit to the beautiful and truly awe-inspiring Iguassu Falls.
