Introducing a dynamic and interactive Congress
In a period of continued financial uncertainty, climate, water and energy issues remain high on the global agenda. Hydropower continues to provide solutions for climate change adaptation and mitigation, reliable water supply and smarter power systems. IHA Congresses look into these solutions and offer an interactive and dynamic platform for decision-makers, combining the need to inform with the desire to challenge current strategies and to stimulate future strategic thinking.
The 2011 Congress will enable high-level delegates and speakers from governments, agencies, industry, financial institutions, research institutes, environmental groups and civil society to connect, learn and help shape future strategies. Some very special evening events round off the programme, including a visit to Iguassu Falls by moonlight and a light and sound show at the Itaipu dam. The Congress will feature a pre-meeting Networking Tour and a Post-Congress Study Tour, providing insights into Brazil’s hydro development and some of the country’s foremost natural and tourist attractions. Don’t miss this opportunity to attend the hydropower sector’s most challenging and enriching event of 2011!
A summary programme has been produced that provides details of the main plenary sessions, parallel sessions and networking and social events.
